Regene Lim Yong Yi (林咏谊), born in 1999, is a current child actress in Singapore. She first appeared in the local drama C.I.D. 形警二人组 (2006) as the daughter of veteran actors Shaun Chen and Ivy Lee. Furthermore, her outstanding performances in dramas such as Perfect Cut 一切完美, Reunion Dinner 团圆饭 and Happy Family 过好年 led to her winning the much acclaimed Young Talent Award consecutively in 2009, 2010 and 2011. She also played the younger version of the lead actress in the drama Breakout 破天网 in 2010. Apart from acting in dramas, Lim has also entered the local movie industry in 2010 with major roles in two movies, Love Cuts 割爱 and Kidnapper 绑匪 which also starred veteran actors Zoe Tay and Christopher Lee respectively.

Lim is now active on social media applications such as Instagram (@regenelim) and Twitter (@regenelim) where she uses her personal accounts to interact with her large fan base.

Dr Jia Jia

Name:   Chua Jin Sen

Years active: 2011 - present

 

Prominent appearances:

 

Dr Jiajia & BigBro’s Show started with Jin Sen and Jin Chou filming a video for Jin Chou’s school project on speaking good English two years ago. They made and uploaded one on Singlish which gained many hits. Since then, they have become popular and released a few series, such as the Singlish, BigTalk, Growing Up, and 中文 series. Each video is scripted by their father, Mr Michael Chua and Big Brother, and takes them only about an hour to film in their living room at home.
 

To date, Dr Jiajia has acted in two films, Taxi! Taxi! 《德士当家》 and I Love Wolffy 2《我爱灰太狼2》. Taxi! Taxi! is a 2013 Singaporean comedy film directed by Kelvin Sng. In the movie, Dr Jiajia played the role as Jia Jia, the son of the protagonist, Ah Tau (played by Mark Lee). 

After the success in filming his debut movie, Dr Jiajia landed a role in a Chinese movie, I Love Wolffy 2, which is his first international film. I Love Wolffy 2, a children's action and animation movie, is the sequel to I Love Wolffy, a hugely popular movie in China. The film premiered in Singapore and China in August this year. 

 


Dr. Jiajia is involved in several other projects such as creating a video for Operation Pink to promote the fight against breast cancer this year. He was also the iconic face for the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) in 2012. In the same year, Dr Jiajia and Big Brother partnered with the NDP Committee to produce a video promoting LovingSG: One Heart, One Voice. Apart from filming, Dr Jiajia and Big Brother are also involved in charity works, such as sponsoring a Mongolian boy’s education through World Vision.

 

 

Trivia


Jin Sen suffers from dyslexia, a learning disability that impairs a person's reading, writing and language comprehension skills. However, he has excellent memory. With the help of his mother, Mrs Caren Chua, he could memorise his scripts after having only rehearsed a few times. 

 

What is he doing now?

 

After acting in two films, he has continued filming for his own series on YouTube together with his brother, Chua Jin Chou (known online as Big Brother).
